Kitsap Bank announces employee of the quarter

Kitsap Bank named Emely Poe as its Employee of the 3rd Quarter of 2010.

Poe is a customer service representative at Kitsap Bank’s East Bremer-ton branch.

“Emely is an exceptional employee,” stated Jenny Elliott, vice president and regional operations manager, in a news release. “She displays dedication to the highest ethical standards and supports management goals by setting a leadership example in customer service, teamwork and productivity.”

Kitsap Bank’s headquarters is in Port Orchard and it operates 20 branches in Western Washington.

Ashley Gardens of Bremerton launches program for residents with diabetes

Ashley Gardens of Bremerton, located at 3231 Pine Road, recently expanded its EverWell Program to provide 24-hour nursing services to offer multifaceted support for residents with diabetes.

What sets the “Sweet Success” apart from traditional skilled nursing services is the knowledgeable, well-trained nursing and support staff that are on-site at all times to offer exceptional care, according to a statement.

The program accommodates those with insulin-dependent diabetes by providing assistance with blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration.

Silverdale cleaning service receives Better Business Bureau accreditation

Clean Space Northwest Inc. of Silverdale was accredited by the Better Business Bureau earlier this month. The company helps residents with crawl space repair, basement waterproofing and spray foam insulation and has received accreditation for upholding high standards of ethics in their business practice, according to a statement from the company.

KPS Health Plans to have new president in February

KPS Health Plans will have a new president, current Chief Financial Officer Jim Page, in February. Page will be succeeding Richard Marks, who announced earlier this week that he will be stepping down on Jan. 31.

“KPS is on good footing and Jim Page can help take the organization to the next level,” stated Marks in a release. The KPS board of directors selected Page as the new president and Marks is confident in the board’s decision. A Kitsap County native, Page has been working with the health care company for 20 years and has been chief financial officer since 2006. KPS Health Plans is a nonprofit health care service contractor offering preferred provider organization health plan options for individuals, families and large groups and associations.

Sewing service opens in Bremerton

Cheri’s Sewing Service, which provides sewing, alterations, costume and special event clothing, opened recently in Bremerton, according to a statement.

Cheri Reese is known for her unique costumes for Brian “Little Elvis” Dent who performs his Elvis impressions around Kitsap. She has also created other signature products, such as a unique old-fashioned gingham apron.

Reese is a graduate of the Washington Community Alliance for Self-Help (CASH) micro-enterprise program in Kitsap.
