KCU names Wells E-biz manager

Kitsap Credit Union recently named Jeff Wells as its new E-Business Manager. His position will ensure the efficient operation of internal and external Web sites while improving and innovating new services for its members.

“Kitsap Credit Union is heavily vested in its members. I dedicate my time to providing online services that will make our popular products and services easier to use and manage. I am a resource to our members and will provide them with the best online tools — because our members’ success is our success,” Wells said.

Armstrong Fitness expands again

Armstrong Fitness, located on Front Street in Poulsbo, has taken over the space formerly occupied by Jungle Tan.

“This allowed us to create ground floor access to expand our physical therapy department, restore tanning, enlarge our aerobics room and add more equipment,” said owner and physical trainer Ann Armstrong.

Peoples Bank invests in local community

Peoples Bank is one of the area’s local businesses that takes great interest in our community’s development and invests in its growth.

Donations were made by Peoples Bank in support of local industry, education, the arts, environment and other charitable causes. In the first quarter of 2008, the Bank contributed a total of $35,000 to support local organizations and will continue to invest in the community throughout the rest of the year.

One of the organizations that Peoples Bank supported in Kitsap County was the Lee Belas International Scholarship Foundation with a donation of $500.

The Lee Belas International Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization established in memory of Sergeant Lee A. Belas, killed in action in Iraq Feb. 27, 1991, at the age of 22. The Foundation was formed in 1991 following Lee’s death in the Gulf War. The volunteer seven-member Board of Directors meets twice yearly to administer the business of the Foundation and to award scholarships to District 5020 outbound exchange students.
