Chad Wilson made good use of some unusually calm, fall weather recently.

Wilson fired up his Green Eagle powered paraglider in a vacant lot at Poulsbo’s College Marketplace on Thursday, Oct. 11.

With the sun making its way to the horizon, Wilson throttled up and took to the skies.

The aviator said powered paragliders offer a more affordable option for those looking to fly. It is also a fast option, Wilson noted, due to the fact FAA regulations do not require pilot certification for such ultralight aircraft.
