Tracyton workshop goes up in flames

A house fire on Darling Road in Tracyton engulfed the structure Friday

TRACYTON — A workshop was destroyed by fire Sept. 9 in a residential neighborhood in Tracyton.

Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue crews went to the scene, near Darling Road and Tracyton Boulevard.

A man who was working on metal in the shop had left the structure for a short time, then returned to discover it was completely engulfed in flames.

Black smoke from the fire was visible from many areas of South Kitsap.
