As volunteers paint the town on Sunday, Bay Street will be closed and traffic rerouted. Specifically:
* The detour route is the same for parades, where eastbound traffic will turn right at Port Orchard City Hall onto Kitsap St.and follow it as it becomes Rockwell Ave. and back on to Bay Street.
* Local traffic will be allowed up to Frederick St. on the west and Harrison Ave. on the east. Limited access to the parking lot along the waterfront will be available.
* The closure takes place between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Businesses expected to open on Sunday through the paint effort include Amy’s on the Bay, Los Cabos, Morningside Bakery, Moondogs Too, Myhre’s, Shishini BBQ House, The Ale House, The Candy Shoppe, The Puget Sound Wine Shop, Jawapas, Spirit Wind West, Off the Wagon Antiques, Wisteria Lane and Delilah’s Cozy Kitchin.
