The Art Board promotes and encourages private and public programs that further public awareness and develop an interest in the arts and cultural properties. The ordinance, which established the “1% for Art Program,” tasked the Art Advisory Board with establishing a system of coordination with the County Capital Improvement Program to ensure art is integrated into public facilities; developing criteria; and making recommendations to commissioners.
