ALLYN – A Bremerton motorcyclist was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center following a three-vehicle crash near the intersection of State Route 302 and Victor Road Oct. 22.

The incident began as 25-year-old Bremerton man and a 42-year-old Bremerton man were riding their motorcycles eastbound on SR302 at 2:23 p.m.

At that time, a 53-year-old Port Orchard woman was driving her 2003 Subaru station wagon from a private driveway and onto SR302, according to a Washington State Patrol report.

The 42-year-old motorcyclist swerved his 2009 Harley Davidson and crashed into the front drivers side of the Subaru. The motorcycle came to rest in a ditch. The man suffered a serious leg injury.

The second motorcyclist swerved his 2010 Triumph Speedmaster to avoid the Subaru and laid the motorcycle down and the bike slid under a trailer. The rider sustained light injuries.

Both motorcyclists were wearing helmets.

The driver of the Subaru was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. She was cited for failure to yield.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were a factor in the crash according to the WSP.
