BHS football drops third consecutive game

Bremerton dropped last Friday’s road game against Timberline 35-12 after falling behind 14-0 in the second quarter. Timberline junior Kevin Russell rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another, while senior Ronnie Hamlin caught a touchdown pass and returned an interception 65 yards for a score. Bremerton senior defensive back and wide receiver Theo Robinson accounted for both Knight scores, taking an interception 30 yards for a touchdown and a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown respectively. Bremerton (1-3) traveled to Capital last night, but results of that game were unavailable at press time. The Knights host North Thurston at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 for homecoming.

Girls soccer

The Lady Knights (1-6-1) have dropped three consecutive games after a 4-1 win against Port Angeles Sept. 18. North Kitsap shutout Bremerton 3-0 Sept. 25, while Klahowya notched a 3-1 victory Tuesday. BHS hosted Port Townsend Thursday, but results from that game were unavailable at press time. The team travels to Sequim Oct. 7 and hosts Kingston at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 9.

Volleyball

BHS split games against North Kitsap (NK) and Klahowya (KSS), falling 3-0 to NK at home Sept. 25 while beating KSS 3-1 on the road Tuesday. The win against KSS was the team’s first on the season, snapping a five-game losing streak. The Lady Knights looked to maintain the momentum in a home match against Port Townsend Thursday, but results were unavailable at press time. Bremerton travels to Sequim Tuesday.
