A 23-year-old man was arrested at Golden Grill Lounge in Silverdale early Nov. 27 for punching two Navy sailors in the parking lot after a heated beer pong game.
Sheriff’s deputies stopped at the Silverdale Way restaurant when they noticed an assault in progress in the parking lot at 12:58 a.m., according to reports. A 23-year-old male was beating a 25-year-old Navy sailor and did not follow a deputy’s commands to stop fighting until the deputy pepper sprayed the 23-year-old twice.
The 25-year-old man had a cut below his left eye and a 22-year-old Navy sailor was nearby, bleeding heavily from the nose and mouth. Both were taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.
The 23-year-old’s three friends standing by told deputies they were playing beer pong in the bar against the victims and the 25-year-old was “talking trash,” which upset the 23-year-old. The 23-year-old and his friends left the bar and waited outside until the sailors walked out and the 23-year-old jumped them.
The 23-year-old was booked into Kitsap County jail for investigation of second-degree and fourth-degree assault.
