Bob Bennion, the show’s manager for over a decade, said the show “started out kinda slow with mostly local cars, but picked up attendance a few years later. Buck Lake Park is a nice drive within North Kitsap County- lots of scenic roads and avoids the city traffic. Attendance grew each year, then after missing one (during COVID), we were approaching 200 cars and have passed that the last 3 years. We’re now getting cars from Seattle, Bremerton, Port Angeles and a sprinkling from further away. It’s a great mix of cars; 1-2 Brass Era, many 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. We are seeing more and more cars and trucks from the 2000s and foreign cars that are not seen often.”

Participants can bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a picnic in the park. You can opt to bring your own basket or purchase a meal and ice cream inside the Community Center. The park has lake swimming, a playground and miles of walking trails. For information, contact Bennion at 904star@centurytel.net
