Silverdale robbery suspect arrested in Texas

A 39-year-old male suspect in the robbery of Timberland Bank in Silverdale July 15 was arrested in Texas a few days later after attempting to fly to Costa Rica, per the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies identified a possible suspect vehicle by reviewing dashboard cameras in their patrol units. Further evidence led to clothing worn by the bank robber.

A possible identification was made, and a search warrant of the suspect’s residence was obtained, but detectives later learned the suspect had boarded a flight to Costa Rica, per KCSO. The flight included a stopover in Dallas and police there were notified by KCSO. Dallas police officers arrested the suspect when he arrived.

Detectives will travel to Dallas to take the man into custody and return him to Kitsap County to face criminal charges.
