A no-contact advisory has been issued for Kitsap Lake through June 9 due to a 1,200-gallon sewage spill.
Warning signs will be posted at public access points. The sewage spill was reported by the Bremerton Public Works Department.
During a no-contact advisory, avoid contact with water in the affected area. The Kitsap Public Health District recommends against swimming, wading or other types of water recreation that could cause you to swallow water or get water into your mouth, nose or eyes. Avoid direct skin contact with the water if possible and immediately wash with soap and clean water if you have exposure to the water.
