The Wolves kept it competitive against the former state bowling champions.

South Kitsap fell to the Emerald Ridge Jaguars 1802-1586 in the team’s first girls bowling meet of the season Nov. 18 at Hi-Joy Bowl in Port Orchard.

“We really wanted to have fun, yeah, but obviously, we [went up] against a team who have in the last five years won state and come in second and third [in state],” South Kitsap coach Lee Ladeuax said.
