The Bainbridge Spartans girls’ tennis team remains undefeated and atop the Olympic League standings following a narrow 4-3 home victory over North Kitsap April 30.

The Vikings were also undefeated heading into the match but now sit in second place in league following the loss.

”Great match by both teams and always exciting games between NK & Bainbridge,” Spartan coach Mary McCombs said in an emailed statement. “Happy to come out on top today, though.”

Singles matches:

Viking Teegan DeVries beat Spartan Elle Schuchman 6-1, 6-1.

Viking Noelle Oberhultzer beat Spartan Katherine Walker 6-0, 6-3.

Spartan Siri Smith beat Viking Abby Knott 6-4, 6-2.

Doubles matches:

Spartans Malia Lemieux and Marta Llorens beat Vikings Ellie Stanford and Avery Kline 6-1, 6-2.

Spartans Abby Schnee and Elsa Drugge beat Vikings Rachel Le and Emma Pappas 6-0, 6-3.

Vikings Agata Arsi and Cadence Robideaux beat Spartans Eleanor Lee and Catrina Godfrey 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.

Spartans Hazel Gori and Ivy Blast beat Vikings Jennifer Nyugen and Addison Hess 6-0, 6-3.
