The North Kitsap and Bremerton girls tennis teams took advantage of the sunlight March 26, but the Vikings shined brighter on the court with a 7-0 victory, allowing the Knights to win only four games in seven matches.

Teegan DeVries led the Vikings with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Bremerton’s Helene Rode at No. 1 singles. NK’s Noelle Oberhultzer defeated Bremerton’s Akina Pritchard, and Viking Senna Pearson defeated Knight Claudia Kibbe by the same score at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.

In the doubles matches, Bremerton gave a tougher challenge. However, Vikings Olivia Cary and Beckham Ochs defeated Marilyn Lorenzo and Alejandra Mendoza 6-1, 6-1. Vikings Andrea Zetty and Sophia Loverich defeated Knights Charlize Cabig and Kieran Flanagan 6-1, 6-0.

Vikings Tiffany Le and Iliana Brockett had the last perfect sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Knights Abby Stenwick and Maisey Monroe. NK’s Val Torress and Ellie Stanford ended the day with a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Knights Allison Tang and Jaiden Pruitt.
