Port Orchard driver’s vehicle hit by woman attempting to elude state patrol

A Lakewood woman attempting to elude Washington State Patrol Troopers along State Route 101 collided with another vehicle driven by a 58 year old Port Orchard Man Thursday morning.

According to troopers, Lacey L. Smith, 25, was traveling eastbound on SR-101 as she attempted to elude a fully-marked Washington State Patrol vehicle. At milepost 282 (W. Uncas Road), Smith failed to properly negotiate a curve and struck the vehicle of a the 58 year old Port Orchard resident.

Neither person was injured and Smith was charged with felony eluding.
