Downed power lines and tree limbs closed Bond Road/ SR307 for two hours on Tuesday, Jan 7.

The stretch of highway from Big Valley Road to Pugh Road was closed off while crews from Puget Sound Energy worked to clear the roadway.

Northbound traffic was diverted to Big Valley Road, forcing drivers to take the long way home.

The road was reopened around 1:15 p.m.

Recent windy and rainy weather has been the cause of several power outages and traffic incidents across Kitsap County.
