PORT ORCHARD — If there’s one event in South Kitsap that’s as certain as Christmas, it’s the Port Orchard Yacht Club’s 63rd Annual Lighted Boat Parade.

This highly anticipated event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, beginning at approximately 5 p.m. just north of the Southworth ferry terminal. The parade route is to cruise north to Manchester, on through Rich Passage and concluding next to downtown Port Orchard.

According to the Port Orchard Yacht Club, children’s names are being collected for a Santa call-0ut message (email: santa@poyc.org). A captains’ meeting will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Port Orchard Yacht Club’s main clubhouse at 201 SW Bay St. in Port Orchard. The meeting will cover details about the parade route and related information.
