Fire Marshal announces burn ban to be lifted Friday at 8 a.m.

The Kitsap County Fire Marshal announced that the phase one burn ban will be lifted Friday, Sept. 13 at 8 a.m.

All outdoor burning may resume, subject to normal rules and regulations, such as no burning in urban areas and obtaining burning permits from your local fire district, according to a press release.

“Due to the recent weather patterns, vegetation has been able to retain moisture and not dry out as quickly, allowing general backyard burning and lifting of the ban,” Kitsap County Fire Marshal David Lynam said.
