OLALLA — There’ll soon be a mashup of technology and physical education at Olalla Elementary, thanks to PE teacher Sara Gray and CenturyLink.

The telecommunications giant surprised Gray, a physical education teacher at Olalla, by presenting her with a check of almost $5,000 as part of a grant through its Teachers and Technology program at the school on April 23. Gray earlier had submitted a proposal to the CenturyLink program for grant money to fund her project.

Gray’s project will include the purchase of Fit Bits and curriculum to incorporate technology into physical fitness at Olalla.
