Multiple vehicles damaged by fire in Kitsap Towing lot

KINGSTON — A recreational vehicle was destroyed and other vehicles were damaged in a fire in the Kitsap Towing’s impound lot Aug. 16.

Crews from North Kitsap Fire & Rescue (NKF&R) responded to an initial report of a structure fire at about 3:19 a.m. after a neighbor called 911, according to a press release from NKF&R. Crews found the RV on fire, with fire spreading to adjacent vehicles and trees.

Two passenger cars were damaged by fire, along with a Kitsap Towing flatbed truck. Another flatbed received moderate damage from the heat, according to NKF&R.

It appears the fire began in the area of the RV, according to NKF&R. The fire is under investigation by the Kitsap County Fire Marshal’s Office.

There were no injuries reported. No buildings were damaged.
