KINGSTON — A woman was sent to the hospital after her SUV was rear-ended on Highway 307 on May 3.

The driver, a 34-year-old Kingston woman, was taken to Harrison Hospital in Bremerton for undisclosed injuries.

She was traveling in the southbound lane on Highway 307, approximately 3 miles north of Poulsbo at 1:59 p.m. and stopped for traffic. A following pickup truck failed to slow and collided with the SUV.

The pickup was driven by a 22-year-old Hansville woman. She was uninjured.

Washington State Patrol Troopers determined that inattention on behalf of the Hansville woman was the cause of the collision. She has been charged with following too closely.

The SUV was towed from the scene. Two children, an 8-year-old and a 4-year-old, were in the SUV at the time of the accident. They were not injured.
