Taken from the certificate of probable cause by Port Orchard police:

An argument about money quickly turned into a fight near the Red Dog Saloon on Mile Hill Drive around 2 a.m. on Sunday.

One victim told police that he heard a stranger call the another man’s girlfriend a name, and he tried to step in to try to break up the arguement.

Then one of the arguing men, a 23-year-old, stabbed the man who tried to break up the fight in his left biceps with a folding knife that had “a six-inch blade,” according to a witness.

The suspect then “took off” toward The Lucky One food store, and several people followed him, including the man he’d argued with at the bar, according to a witness.

The man eventually caught up to the suspect, and the suspect punched him in the face, according to a witness.

Police arrived and found the second victim “lying on his back, eyes open with a fixed stare and blood coming out of his mouth. He was unresponsive.”

The suspect had gotten into a silver Honda and left with a 22-year-old woman, according to a witness, and police found the two on Lund near Harris.

They searched the vehicle, finding a silver folding knife.

Police arrested the suspect on three counts of assault and his bail was set at $350,000. Police also arrested the woman for rendering criminal assistance, and set her bail at $100,000.
