BASEBALL

Vikings stay perfect

The North Kitsap High School baseball team improved to 14-0 overall (11-0 in the Olympic League) and earned a No. 5 ranking among Washington State’s Class 3A schools this week. The Vikings defeated the Olympic High Trojans Wednesday, 3-0. Alex Smith recorded the shutout and struck out nine Trojans. Daniel Jewett went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The Vikings are scheduled to host North Mason at 4 p.m. Friday.

TENNIS

Kingston tops Bremerton, 4-3

The Kingston High girls tennis team defeated Bremerton High Wednesday, 4-3. Kingston is scheduled to play at 4 p.m. Friday at Port Angeles.

FASTPITCH

Vikings fall to Olympic High

The North Kitsap High School fastpitch team fell to Olympic High Wednesday, 13-6. Sydney Thompson led the Vikings on offense, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Ali Marks and Ashleigh Marcelino were each 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The Vikings host North Mason at 4 p.m. today.
