KINGSTON – Falling branches likely shut down two power substations Monday evening in the Kingston area, briefly cutting power to about 8,000 homes.
About 1,700 homes were still without power at 8 p.m. in the Miller Bay area Puget Sound Energy spokesman Roger Thompson said. A crew was patrolling the power lines to find the cause of the lingering outage he said.
