Pottery Avenue was closed to traffic Monday afternoon after officers from the Port Orchard Police Department and the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home near Birch Road.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office closed Sidney Avenue to traffic near Sidney Glen Elementary School around 12 p.m. after responding to a home between Birch and Berry Lake roads.

Spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson said that several people inside the residence had outstanding warrants, and weapons had been drawn earlier, though he had no knowledge of shots being fired.

At least three people — one man and two women — were transported to the Kitsap County Jail.

Sidney Glen Elementary School released its students shortly before noon, and deputies closed the road to traffic once all the buses had left the school.

Wilson could not release further details about the incident.

As of 2:30 p.m., the road was open to traffic.
