Beef: It’s what’s for dinner
A 26-year-old Port Hadlock man was arrested for attempting to steal meat from Poulsbo’s Central Market Monday.
According to police reports he was carrying a skateboard in one hand and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, containing an “obvious bulky looking object.”
He owned up when police asked him if he had taken the items — Fletcher’s sausage, valued at $4.99 and Natural Beef Loin, $18.79 — from the store. The man admitted taking the meat because he was hungry and didn’t have any money. He smelled of intoxicants. The man was booked in jail and is not allowed in Central Market for a year.
