Bellringer goal is within reach

POULSBO — In addition to causing power outages, Thursday night’s windstorm blew in a bounty of donations to the Bellringer Fund.

By 10 a.m. Monday, the fund had collected another $4,006.06, which adds to the number of successful days it has already enjoyed. Those donations put the fund above the $20,000 mark and leave less than $10,000 to go before it reaches its $30,000 goal.

Mike Brooks, owner of Mike’s Car Wash in Poulsbo, is once again donating a portion of his proceeds during this month to give the fund a boost.

Even with the much-appreciated generosity, Bellringer still has a ways to go before it reaches its $30,000 goal, but the week before Christmas is off to a good start.

Donations to the fund can be dropped off at the Kitsap Bank branch in Poulsbo Village or the North Kitsap Herald office, 18887 Highway 305, Suite 700. Donations can also be mailed to Poulsbo Noon Lions Bellringer Fund, P.O. Box 1244, Poulsbo, WA 98370. The help number for the fund is (360) 697-6087.
