David “Lane” Guin

March 23, 1949 – July 20, 2017

David “Lane” Guin passed away July 20, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital at age 68. Lane was born March 23, 1949 to Acy and Florence Guin in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1967 and went on to graduate from St. Catherine Business College. Lane spent 35 years in the broadcast business. He was creator and co-owner of KAYU-TV FOX from 1982-1992, General Sales Manager at KXLY, and then went on to establish Lane Enterprises in 2003 where he worked in website development and social media marketing. Lane served as Honorary Commander at Fairchild Air Force Base and president of the Spokane Economic Development Council in 2003. His hobbies included; crabbing with his brother Charlie and nephew Erik, sailing, and archery, but more than anything he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his close confidant, Periwinkle. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Nancy, their four children Kim (Phil) Hu ll of Yakima, Geoff Guin, Heather (Shan) Graham, and John (Jodi) Guin, all of Spokane, his grandchildren Jake (Katie), Grace, Maddy, Mary, Anna, Willie, Luke, Emma, and Jayden, and his brother Charlie from Poulsbo, Washington. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 3327 S. Perry, Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lane’s name to the American Heart Association, 140 S. Arthur, Ste. 610, Spokane, WA 99202. Arrangements have been entrusted to:
