HANSVILLE — The Flotsam and Jetsam Garden Club of Hansville is offering scholarships of $1,000 to $3,000 to students pursuing degrees or certificates in an environmental- or horticultural-related field.

High school seniors, college students and/or continuing education students who are permanent residents of Kitsap County may apply. The scholarships will be awarded in May.

Applications are available at the advisers’ offices at North Kitsap and Kingston high schools and can be downloaded from the club’s website, www.flotsamandjetsamgardenclub.com.

The club is also offering grants for beautification and conservation projects in our region. Applications are available on the club’s website.

The scholarship and grant applications deadline is April 30. Applications can be mailed to Flotsam and Jetsam Garden Club, P.O. Box 14, Hansville, WA. 98340, Attn. Scholarships and Grants Committee; or submitted electronically to f.j.scholarships@gmail.com.
