Del’s Feed and Farm Supply will reopen as a Tractor Supply Company store with a soft opening tentatively scheduled for May 23, according to a March 12 announcement.

The new location is the former Saar’s Market Place, 1415 Olney Ave. SE.

“Del’s Feed and Farm Supply has been a part of the Port Orchard community since 2005, and we’re extremely excited to announce that the customers who have supported us all these years will soon have even more great products to choose from at their new Tractor Supply store,” said Tractor Supply Company District Manager Summer Sullivan. “Customers will also see many familiar faces on the Tractor Supply Port Orchard team who are dedicated to providing legendary customer service to ensure they have everything they need for their livestock, pets and property.”

According to Rob Hoskins, media contact for TSC, Del’s last day is May 22, but he didn’t have any information concerning a property transaction at that location.

Del’s Feed and Farm Supply was founded in 1972 in the Seattle area and has 23 stores located in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii.

Tractor Supply, headquartered in Brentwood, Tenn., operates more than 1,400 stores in 49 states.

The Port Orchard store will offer a comprehensive selection of national and Tractor Supply brand merchandise for horses, livestock and pets as well as a broad selection of tools, hardware, light-truck equipment, work clothing for the entire family, and an extensive line of seasonal products including insulated outerwear and heating products.

The Port Orchard location is Tractor Supply’s second store in Washington and it will employ 12-15 team members. The facility will have more than 42,000 square feet, including sales floor and support service space.

Regular operating hours for the store are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

According to their website, TSC is the largest rural lifestyle retail chain in the United States. It has stores in every state with exception of Alaska and employs more than 21,000 employees.

The stores are focused on supplying the lifestyle needs of recreational farmers and ranchers, and people who enjoy the rural lifestyle, as well as tradesman and small businesses.

In 2014, TSC opened a total of 107 stores in 31 states, including its 1,400th store in Eunice, La., on Feb. 21.
