PORT ORCHARD — In a field of 16 teams, the South Kitsap wrestling team placed second in team action at the regional wrestling tournament at Curtis High School over the weekend. Twelve individual wrestlers qualified for the Mat Classic.

The Mat Classic — the state wrestling meet — will take place Feb. 17-18 at the Tacoma Dome with matches beginning at 9 a.m.

The following South Kitsap wrestlers placed and qualified for the state tournament.
