South Sound Conference and Olympic League announce all-league players

KITSAP COUNTY — The South Sound Conference and Olympic League have announced the selections to their respective all-league teams.

Leading the way is Central Kitsap shortstop Fred Buckson, who was one of the West Sound’s best all-around players this year. Buckson was a South Sound Conference first-team all-league pick, hitting .405 with three home runs, 20 RBI and 23 runs scored as the Cougars’ table-setter. The Edmonds Community College-bound senior was also a standout on defense.

Buckson’s teammates Tristan Barr and Greyson McCormick joined him on the first team. Barr hit .356 with 15 RBI and 26 runs scored and McCormick, a junior, will lead a deep stable of pitchers in 2019.
