South Kitsap Cross Country | Fall Sports Preview

Cross Country

Head coach: Ed Santos

Key runners (boys): Jacob Laws, sr.; Jacob Rowden, jr.

Key runners (girls): Ashley Sciochetti, so.; Evelyn Collins-Winn, jr.; Kaija Ogan, sr.

Outlook: Both teams qualified for the 4A state meet last year, but also lost most of their respective top five runners to graduation. That never seems to stop South Kitsap, though. The Wolves consistently bring in new, talented runners each and every year and there should be plenty of success ahead this fall.

Schedule: Sept. 14, 21st Bellarmine Invitational | Sept. 18, 5 p.m., Curtis | Sept. 21, Pacific Lutheran University Invitational | Sept. 28, Nike Portland XC | Oct. 9, 5 p.m., Bellarmine | Oct. 12, Bill Kehoe South Sound Invitational at St. Martin’s | Oct. 16, 5 p.m. at Olympia | Oct. 24, SPSL Championships, 1 p.m. at Fort Steilacoom | Nov. 2, Westside Classic District Championships at Chambers Bay.
