South Kitsap Crew | Spring Sports Preview

Teams are growing, improving

Head coach: Jake Brisson

Key athletes (boys): Nolan Hubbell, Kadin Backlund, Chase Payne, Evan Stanley, Jackson Sherwood, Michael Clauss, Gregg Hughes.

Key athletes (girls): Payton Brose, Sadie Bailey, Abigail Heibesen, Kayley Close, Morgan Rusnak, Delaina Dobiash, Araceli Salazar, Natalie Horton, Shelby Griffin, Alix Stewart.

Outlook: This is the third season for the crew teams at South Kitsap and the results so far have been positive despite having to compete against private schools and clubs all across the state. The program continues to grow and have success. The boys varsity team took a gold medal at the American Lake Fall Classic Regatta in Lakewood last year, and Brose recently accepted a rowing scholarship to Gonzaga.
