Olympic takes advantage of small Spartan squad

The Olympic Trojans wrestling team took down the Bainbridge Spartans 51-23 Jan. 11.

The Trojans won nine of the 14 matches with seven coming by forfeit.

In actual contests, the two squads finally faced off in the 138-pound division.

Olympic won two straight as Ira Dagsaan defeated Tyler Dodge 8-6, and Daniel Rosales pinned Baha Ali in the third period.

Bainbridge responded as Garret Goade pinned Olympic’s Miles Brown in the third period.

Spartan Wyatt Goade captured a victory at the 220-pound class with a first-period pin over Alex Bullman.

Olympic lightweights Kevin Hudson, Tyree Juneau and Mason Monglana got their hands raised at the beginning of the dual with three straight forfeits. Afterward, Bainbridge’s 132-pound Parker Kruglik earned a forfeit after the two teams double-forfeited the 126-pound division.
