Olympic Cross Country | Fall Sports Preview

Olympic Cross Country

Head coach: Margo Peterson (first season)

Key runners (boys): Wyatt Pisz, Josh Rehahn, Marcus Horan.

Key runners (girls): Olivia McFall, jr.; Malaya Patheal, so.

Outlook: The program is currently in building mode with about 20 runners and a first-year head coach in Peterson, who said she is excited to take the reins of the team and be a part of Olympic cross country. Peterson hopes to get a few more runners out once school starts to create better team depth.

Schedule: Sept. 11, 4 p.m. Eagle Jamboree at Klahowya | Sept. 14, 10 a.m. at Bellarmine Invitational | Sept. 18, 5 p.m. at Sequim | Sept. 21, 11:30 a.m. 42nd Salt Creek Invitational | Sept. 25, 5 p.m., Kingston, Klahowya | Oct. 2, 5 p.m. at North Kitsap | Oct. 9, 5 p.m. at Port Angeles | Oct. 24, 5 p.m. at Olympic League Championships (Port Townsend).
