Olympic Boys Swimming | Fall Sports Preview

Head coach: Paul Henderson

2018-2019 record: 5-2 (5-1 OLY)

Key swimmers: Dietrich Meyer, jr.,; Ranier Meyer, jr.; Ryan Burchell, jr.

Outlook: The Trojans are the defending 2A state champions, but graduated exactly half of the six-man team that carried them to victory. Dietrich Meyer won both the 50 and 100 free races last year and remains a threat to repeat. The Meyer brothers and Burchell were also part of the state meet record breaking 200 and 400 yard freestyle relays. Their chances as a team at state will rely on some young swimmers stepping up to fill the void.

Schedule: Dec. 10, 3 p.m., Sequim | Dec. 17, CKSD Tri-Meet, 3 p.m. | Dec. 19, 3 p.m. at North Kitsap | Jan. 9, 3 p.m. at Port Angeles | Jan. 14, 3 p.m. at Klahowya | Jan. 16, 3 p.m., Bremerton | Jan. 23, 3 p.m., Kingston | Jan. 31, 12 p.m., Last Chance Meet.
