Olympic Boys Golf | Spring Sports Preview

HEAD COACH: Miles Hemmersbach

2016-17 RECORD: 9-1

TOP RETURNING PLAYERS: Allen Ignacio, senior; Brandon Myers, senior; Nathan Peterson-Scheer, junior; Adrian Basaliza, sophomore.

KEY NEWCOMERS: Gage Castaneda, sophomore; Chris Duckworth, junior; Kyler Garcia, sophomore; Connor Eddy, senior.

OUTLOOK: The boys lost seven seniors last year, but that doesn’t stop head coach Miles Hemmersbach from thinking the Trojans will again be competitive. OHS finished second only to Sequim last year in the conference standings. In fact, the only loss for the Trojans was to Sequim as 19 points made the difference in which of the teams became league champ. Hemmersbach said to bounce back this year, his team will need to simply beat Sequim. To achieve this goal, he said his golfers will need to improve their scrambling ability.
