North Kitsap Girls Soccer | Fall Sports Preview

North Kitsap Girls Soccer

Head coach: Greg St. Peter

2018 record: 13-6-1 (10-2 Olympic)

Key players: Sophia Pixton, sr., GK; Audrey Zinn sr., M/D; Charlotte Bond, sr., F; Abigail Ginn, sr., F/M; Emily DeLay, sr., D; Ashley Castro, sr., D; Emma Harper, sr., F/M; Ellie Kimmel, sr., M; Kamora McMillian, so., F.

Outlook: This team has a huge class of seniors that wants to go out on a strong note. The Vikings have been eliminated in the 2A state quarterfinals in each of the last two years by the state champions, Liberty; there’s no doubt this group wants to get over that final hump and into the final four. North Kitsap has plenty of speed up front in winger Bond, who led the team last year with 11 goals, and sophomore center-forward McMillian, who was an impact player from the beginning as a freshman. Pixton was an all-state selection last year and she should have a solid, experienced defense in front of her.

Schedule: Sept. 7, 1 p.m., Central Kitsap | Sept. 12, 6:45 p.m., Kingston | Sept. 14, 1 p.m. at Klahowya | Sept. 19, 6:45 p.m., Bremerton | Sept. 21, 1:45 p.m., Fife | Sept. 24, 6:45 p.m. at Sequim | Sept. 26, 6:45 p.m. at Port Angeles | Oct. 1, 6:45 p.m., Olympic | Oct. 3, 6:45 p.m., North Mason | Oct. 8, 6:45 p.m. at Kingston | Oct. 12, 1:45 p.m., Bainbridge | Oct. 15, 6:45 p.m. at Bremerton | Oct. 17, 6:45 p.m., Sequim | Oct. 22, 6:45 p.m., Port Angeles | Oct. 24, 6:45 p.m. at Olympic | Oct. 29, 6:45 p.m. at North Mason.
