Klahowya Softball | Spring Sports Preview

HEAD COACH: Jodie Gagnon

2017 RECORD: 4-5, 9-8

TOP RETURNERS: P/INF Amber Bumbalough, Sr.; C Emma Hough, Sr.; OF Karli Eberhard, Sr.; 3B Maile Lueck, So.; SS Shae Stevens, So.; 2B Hannah Bastian, So.

OUTLOOK: Klahowya and Coupeville will be the only two teams competing in the 1A Olympic League this year with Chimacum and Port Townsend canceling their seasons, so there isn’t much of a league schedule, but the Eagles return their top two pitchers, including Bumbalough, a Division-I commit, who also hit .617. Eberhard and Hough are also .400 hitters, so the lineup should have some thump as well. The key to a successful season will be getting the younger, less experienced players up to speed.
