Klahowya Girls Swimming | Fall Sports Preview

2018 record: 0-7 (0-7 Olympic)

Key swimmers: Liz Helmer, sr.; Katie Baley, sr.; Anna Wells, sr.; Hannah Stewart, jr; Jacklynne Stroup, jr.; Lexi Woelper, jr.

Outlook: Helmer is the top returner as she qualified for state last year in the 100-yard butterfly, and a few others swam at the district meet as well. The team is in a tougher spot, as always, as a 1A school in a 2A league, especially one with a defending state champion.

Schedule: Sept. 10, 3 p.m. at Kingston | Sept. 12, 3 p.m. at Port Angeles | Sept. 19, 3 p.m., Bremerton | Sept. 24, 3 p.m., North Kitsap | Oct. 3, 3 p.m. at Port Townsend | Oct. 10, 3 p.m. at Sequim | Oc. 12, 9 a.m. Olympic Swimvitational | Oct. 15, 3 p.m., Olympic | Oct. 25, 3 p.m., Last Chance Meet at Olympic.
