BREMERTON — The Kitsap Pumas have postponed their scheduled preseason friendly against the Vancouver Victory on April 16 to make room for an open training session.

Members of the public are encouraged to watch practice from 3-5 p.m. at Gordon Field and stick around afterward to meet the players and coaches.

“We’re always looking for ways to connect with the Kitsap community, and this is one of the most direct methods possible,” head coach Cameron MacDonald said in an announcement of the open training session. “We’re excited to welcome our fans to have a look at what we do on a daily basis.”

With the weather expected to cooperate, Saturday’s open session will be the first chance for fans to greet players up close. On the day of the session, the Pumas will have exactly three weeks to prepare for their first regular-season PDL match against the Victoria Highlanders.

Season and single-game tickets are available on the club website.

The Pumas are increasing their engagement with the public. Members of the team conducted a clinic at Strawberry Field in Poulsbo, April 13.
