After finishing in fifth place at the West Central District race a week ago, the Central Kitsap boys squad is set to send the entire squad. Shane Moskowitz is CK’s top threat, finishing fifth at the district race, held at American Lake Golf Course in Lakewood. Moskowitz ran the 3.1-mile course in 15 minutes, 33.9 seconds. Cascade Herriott will be right behind him however, after taking seventh at districts with a time of 16:07.1. The boys team scored 174 points in the race that Gig Harbor won.

On the girls side, CK just missed out, taking eighth place as a team in the race that Gig Harbor also won, giving the Tides the clean sweep. The top six 4A teams advanced to state.

But CK will be represented on the girls side after a strong effort from Shannon Moskowitz, who took seventh at districts with a time of 19:09.6. Allie Rue came close to joining her, finish 39th with a time of 20:41. The top 30 4A individuals advanced to state. Brittany Siegrist (47th; 20:51.9), Maggie Crow (51st; 21:06.1), Chelsea Raulsome (83rd; 22:14.9), Christina Pung (85th, 22:21) and Kasey Pinto (97th, 22:53) all turned in solid performances as well.

While only Moskowitz extended her season, all of CK’s girls team will return next season.
