No matter the opponent, no matter how big the moment was, Celina Madrid always found a way to come through for her team.
The highlights for her senior season include scoring the lone goal in a 1-1 tie with a tough Curtis team and picking up two goals and an assist in a 3-3 tie against Rogers. Late in the season with her team down 1-0 against Emerald Ridge, Madrid took advantage of her specialty, the close-range free kick, to score a goal that tied the match at one apiece and kept South Kitsap’s playoff hopes alive.
Madrid plans to continue to play in college, first at Edmonds Community College. She then hopes to transfer to a four year school.
