Kitsap County Commissioners: Full support is behind governor’s directive

We fully support the decision of Gov. Inslee directing Washingtonians to stay home in order to combat the further spread of COVID-19. While we may not be visible to the public, we are still serving Kitsap County residents. Many of our employees are working remotely and our law enforcement, corrections, courts, facilities and public works operations are providing emergency support to the public.

During this time, there are temporary changes you may experience. County offices are closed to the public. Our county parks will be open, but regular maintenance may not occur. Please continue to practice social distancing while enjoying the parks.

Many county services are available online at www.kitsapgov.com. If you have questions about county services, our Kitsap 1 operators are available at 360-337-5777. Call takers are also available to answer your questions regarding COVID-19 by dialing 2-1-1. Stay informed on the COVID-19 situation in Kitsap County through the Kitsap Public Health District at www.kitsappublichealth.org.

The Superior and District courts will be conducting emergency hearings and arraignments. Please check the court webpages for contact information, if you have questions about your case.

Be safe. Be kind to each other. We look forward to speaking to you in person about county government when the governor’s proclamation is lifted.
