Whitney Jay Wells, 19

Whitney Jay Wells of Poulsbo died Oct. 26, 2003 in Seattle. He was 19.

Wells was born on Feb. 23, 1984 in Long Pine, Calif. He was the adopted son of John J. and Deborah (Marston) Wells.

Prior to living in Poulsbo, Wells lived in Kauai, Hawaii. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 2002. During high school he was selected as a Natural Helper.

Wells had worked as a meat wrapper at Costco in Silverdale the last 18 months.

He enjoyed cars, movies, music and dancing. He was known for his sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. He was in the process of restoring a 1957 Ford Ranchero and liked to work on his Acura.

Wells is survived by his parents John J. and Deborah (Marston) Wells of Poulsbo; brothers Kelly Wells and Bryan Wells, both of Poulsbo; grandparents Bryant and Frances Marston of Newport Beach, Calif. and Eugene W. Wells of Kauai, Hawaii.

Visitations will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 3 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4 at The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo. A celebration of his life will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Silverdale Lutheran Church.
