Sylvia Thornton-Boncheff, 59

Sylvia Thornton-Boncheff of Kingston died May 18. She was 59. Thornton-Boncheff was born on July 6, 1948 to Donald and Jacquelyn (Mills) Thornton in San Francisco. She worked for Hewlett-Packard in manufacturing, was a horse caregiver and trainer, and worked at The Point Casino in Little Boston.

She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post in Kingston. Thornton-Boncheff enjoyed gardening, jewelry making and being a grandmother.

She is survived by her parents; daughters Docie Burch of Darrington and Fawn Byrd; brothers Gary and Edward of Oklahoma, Raymond and Thomas of Kingston; sister Donna Thornton-Schwan of Kingston; grandchildren Haleigh Jean and Katharine; and son-in-law Chris Kasziewicz of Darrington.

A memorial service was held at the Redeemer United Methodist Church in Kingston on May 30.
