Sydnee L. Kleeman

Sydnee L. Kleemann, 68

Sydnee Lane Kleemann of Poulsbo died June 29, 2004 in Poulsbo. She was 68.

Kleemann was born to Curt and Laura Voltin June 1, 1936 in North Dakota.

Her family moved to Poulsbo in 1939, where she has resided ever since.

Kleemann attended North Kitsap schools and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1954.

She married in 1958.

Kleemann worked at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard and at Keyport. She also worked at Kelley’s Telephone Answering Service in Seattle for 15 years in the 1980s and 1990s. For two years in the 1980s, she owned a craft shop called the Hobby Lobby.

She enjoyed toll painting, making and selling arts and crafts, visiting the Oregon Coast and was an avid Mariner fan (Edgar Martinez being her favorite player).

She was also a member of the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo for many years.

Kleeman is survived by her sons John (Sheryl) Kleemann of Silverdale and Michael Kleemann of Kent; daughters Susan (John) Siegfried of Poulsbo and Lisa (Jeff) Pike and her husband of Kent, and John Kleemann and his wife Sheryl, of Silverdale; brother, Tom (Rita) Voltin of Poulsbo; sister Sharon (Bill) Bailey of Poulsbo; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

At her request, there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to the North Kitsap Firefighters Association.

Philip G. Kvinsland, 69

Philip Gary Kvinsland of Ethel died July 1, 2004 in Steilacoom. He was 69.

Kvinsland was born to John Philip and Mary (Snyder) Kvinsland on Sept. 20, 1934 in Bremerton.

He married Sarah Bonsal (Broomall) in 1953 in Port Townsend.

Kvinsland graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1953.

He was self employed in heavy equipment construction for 40 years.

Kvinsland enjoyed breeding and racing thoroughbred horses.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Bonsal Kvinsland of Ethel; daughters Rosie (Elliot) Simkins of Orting, Karen (Karl) Mesikapp of Ignacio, Colo., Barbara (Randy) Hathaway and Lisa (Bill) Lawrence of Poulsbo, Kris (Jim) McCarthy of Yelm and Laura (Jeremy) Vance of Port Townsend; sister Phyllis Kvinsland of Port Townsend; and five grandchildren.

There will be no services.
