Shirley Dianne Demmert | Passages

KINGSTON — Shirley Dianne Demmert died at her home Sept. 1, 2017 after a long illness. She was 73.

She was born in Bremerton and graduated from Seattle Pacific University. During her career, she taught elementary education in Washington and adult education in Alaska, and owned a bookstore. She was a member of Bayside Community Church in Kingston and volunteered at ShareNet Thrift Store in Kingston.

Shirley was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her memory will live on with her loving husband of 53 years, LeRoy; children, Wade, Jill, and Casey Demmert; grandchildren, Christina, Kwyn, Camille, Hunter, Asa, Silas, and Trey; brother, Richard Stokes; and sister, Jean Reimer,

Memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Bayside Community Church in Kingston, reception following.
